Hi Everyone, I am Simon, the founder of Sentina Training and Consultancy. You might wonder why the name ‘Sentina’ - well if you know your Latin then it derives from sewage terminology which I thought was very apt due to the nature of the business.

At Sentina, I am committed to providing high-quality, fun and educational training for drainage engineers. I love the diversity of people with varying skill levels that I interact with daily and work with small start-ups as well as larger corporate organisations.

I’ve been involved in the drainage industry for over 19 years. In 2004, I took the exciting step of starting my own Dyno-Rod franchise, where I had the privilege of leading a team of 7 dedicated individuals. As part of my role, I worked hands-on as a drainage engineer, performing unblocks and drain repairs while simultaneously managing the operations of the business.

In addition to the above, I’ve also managed a Dyno-Rod business across Devon & Cornwall employing 25 staff for a number of years. I ran a tanker division for a large waste management company operating 6 jet vacs, 2 gully suckers, and a CCTV crew working across the South-West of England managing wet well cleaning contracts and highway contracts including HADDAMS surveys.

Throughout my extensive journey in the industry, I have had the pleasure of mentoring and training numerous engineers in all aspects of drainage work. From unblocks and repairs to drainage law, CCTV, customer service, and upselling, I’ve equipped professionals with the knowledge they need to excel in their roles.

Prior to the drainage world, I gained vast sales experience in several different fields from exhibitions to pharmaceuticals. I have presented to significant clients such as Pfizer, Glaxo Smithkline and Curver Plastics. Therefore Presenting to large groups comes second nature and I enjoy interacting with you all on my courses.

I have a calm, yet fun presentation style ensuring the learner not only learns but also enjoys the experience as well. I eagerly look forward to meeting you and your team on my courses throughout the year.
