SHEA Drains and Sewers Overview

The Energy and Utility Skills Utility Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Passport is specifically developed to establish a consistent approach to safety, health, and environmental training within the water industry. It serves as a requirement for workers visiting operational sites, as it is expected by numerous water companies.

The SHEA Drains and Sewers (DS) scheme has been developed in collaboration with The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC). It comprises of 8 modules, 6 of these being relevant for all utility industries and 2 being specific to the drainage and sewerage industry.
Individuals must complete all eight modules and pass the SHEA Drains and Sewers assessment to gain EUSR SHEA Drains and Sewers registration. It is an Energy & Utility Skills Passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.
